James Rudman account book, 1844-1882 (bulk 1844-1848).

This account book contains records kept by Rudman of his service as blacksmith for many prominent West Feliciana families. The entries list the type of work performed and the charges for each task. Rudman repaired buggies, carriages, wagons, and carts; sharpened farm and household implements; shoed horses and mended harness; and made nails, chains, hooks, hinges, and needles. He also completed iron work for the jail, repaired the newspaper press, and made a well bucket for the West Feliciana Parish courthouse.
